In a tough season that saw trying to assemble 11 players as being more of a challenge than the actual opposition. It was always going to be a difficult season.
A final league position of 8th out of 12 was the end result in a league that saw a team, The Royal Oak, which Inter took maximum points from thrown out of the league and with it the points gained. On calculation the club dropped around 18 points which would have seen the club finish on 30pts and 2nd place which would have assured an automatic promotion place.
With a little bit of stability resuming to the team in the final three matches saw the season end with three straight wins and the regulars wondering what could have been.
So with the season ending on a lot of what 'ifs?' with it the Manchester Publicity Sunday League also ended after around 18 years of service. On behalf of Inter Didsbury we would like to thank the league for all its hard work and dedication to bringing us something to do on a cold Sunday morning, much appreciated.
