1st Half

After a disappointing result against Colts in the league Inter were keen to put things right. However it was to be a battling first 20 minutes as Colts really took the game to Inter.

It was in typical Inter fashion that the opposition would take the lead as early as the first 5 minutes. A corner swung in from the left wasnt challenged and the Colts player had the simplest of tasks headin the ball into the net, 1-0.

Usually this kicks starts Inter, however it would be another 15 minutes before Inter started to get a grip on the game. Both Mackay and Rico on the wings. In fact it was a break down the right wing by Kane who fired in a superb troublesome ball that forced the ever coming equaliser. The combination of the pace of the ball and pressure from Alex on the defender as the race along the 6-yard line, the defender couldnt get out the way and turned the ball into his own net, 1-1.

It wasn't long before Inter got in front in a superb 25 minutes, taking a well earned lead in at half time. Rico played a superb ball through to Kane who stab the ball past the advancing keeper, 1-2.

2nd Half

The second half was a bit hazy but the were a few exchanges in the first 10 minutes, before Colts took control.

Constant pressure on the Inter defence as a disorganised team could only throw their bodies at the ball at every opportunity.

An opportunist ball was being dealt with by the Inter defence when a little bit of afters between the supplying player and Alex resulted in a freekick in the Inter half of the field. A lumped ball into the box was headed across by the substitute and knocked in by their winger to finally break the Inter resolve, 2-2.

It didnt take Colts long to edge in front, more pressure finaly resulted in a shot being saved but not held onto by Jack and the striker was on hand to tap the ball into the bottom left hand corner and he celebrated emphatically, 3-2.

Up until this point Jack had done superbly well in goal and was voted Man-Of-The Match by the referee.

When the final whistle went, I dont think anyone could argue with the result. It was actually a good performance and we started to show more signs of playing as a team with good passing and movement.

Roll on the next league fixture
